Richard Mowrey

Richard Mowrey is President of Management Services & Development, Ltd., a firm that provides private investment banking services to closely held businesses where he specialized in the valuation, value planning, and sale of "mid-sized" businesses. In addition, Richard personally supervises strategic acquisition searches for selected client corporations.

Richard is a former bank director and has been and continues to be an active member of the board of directors of a number of close-held businesses. He brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience from his personal business ownership over the years, as well as from his advisory experiences in start-up companies, turn-around situations, and transactional management.

Richard holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a MS in Management Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. Prior to starting Management Services & Development, Ltd. in 1979, he served as an engineering manager and financial analyst for several fortune five hundred corporations. In addition, Richard has owned and operated manufacturing companies in Florida and Pennsylvania and has taught at Wentworth College, Rollins College, and IUP (Indiana University of Pennsylvania). He is a frequent seminar presenter and guest speaker on business planning, ownership transfer, and business valuation topics and has authored articles in monthly columns on management practices, valuation, and mergers & acquisitions.
