A 130 unit pack and ship franchise system operating in 15 states with annual sales over $25 million.
  • Built and managed a 130 location franchised system that produced $25 million in sales during 1999.
  • Developed http://www.auctionship.com/ in conjunction with Ebay to serve the emerging on-line auction market and to expand Parcel Plus revenue.
  • Organized the first on-line pricing-service system for consumer moves too small for the moving and storage industry. Created over 500 leads per month for system.
  • Successfully sold the system to a large quick print franchiser in 2000.
CEO/President-Bekins Express October 1982 through October 1986

The first U.S. based time-definite 2nd day, over 70 lb package, guaranteed delivery system.
  • Developed the business plan and raised the capital to build the country's first time-definite service for for 2nd day over 70lb shipments.
  • Hired over three hundred people and built the sales and service structure enabling the company to
    grow from zero to $40 million annualized revenue within two years.
  • Developed the HR, MIS, and Admin systems to support our rapid growth.
  • Assisted the Minstar Company (purchaser of the Bekins Parent Company) to sell the Bekins Express organization to TNT-Australia.
Regional Vice President Burlington Air Express June 1972 through October 1982

The fastest growing U.S. based large cargo airfreight forwarding operation during the 1970s
  • Built 17 profit centers from Washington D.C. to Buffalo, NY. Region grew to become the company's largest and most profitable achieving $70 million in sales with 15% pre-tax profits.
  • Reorganized the New York International Gateway managing 500 union employees moving the entity from losses to profits within one year.
  • Reorganized the labor challenged San Francisco air cargo operation firing the union trucking operator and replacing it with non-union owner operators substantially reducing costs.
