- We counsel franchisees on how to prepare the franchisee
company for sale in order optimize value, and we deliver highly qualified
and motivated buyers so sellers realize full value.
- During the sales process, we remind the selling owner that his/her primary
responsibility is to "run the business". Our job is to prepare the
business for sale to maximum value(which may take up to two years), and to locate a pool of qualified buyers.
- We advise the seller of the many available tools that can help them achieve
optimum value for their business, while minimizing taxes. If necessary, we
recommend owners change their tax structures and advise them of other tax
strategies that saves both income and transfer taxes.
- We educate sellers that in order to receive full value for their business,
they must often assist in the post-closing transition phase.
- We help the seller prepare for buyer due diligence - a process that can
take several months to complete. We oversee the document control and inspection
process to minimize disruption to the business.
